Why parents love it
- The Dalmatian firefighter mascot driving a watercolor red fire engine. The light blue sky background gives the design a softer feel than the usual white-background firetruck invites.
- Edits on your phone. Basic phone editing is supported through the free Canva mobile app so you can finish your invite during nap time, on the school run, or in line at the grocery store.
- Works for any age. The "turning Four" text in the preview is fully editable, so the same template works for a 1st birthday smash cake party, a 2nd, 3rd, 5th, or any-age fire engine bash.
- Editable background color. Don't want light blue? Change it to cream, navy, soft pink, or any shade in Canva with one click.
- Three output formats in one template. PDF with crop marks for professional printing, JPEG for digital text-message sending, PNG for evite platforms.
- Unlimited re-edits and no expiration. Use the template for this party, then come back next year for the sibling's birthday.
Perfect for
- 4th birthday backyard fire truck party with a real fire truck visit from your local fire department
- 1st birthday smash cake session with the Dalmatian firefighter theme and matching outfits
- Indoor 2nd or 3rd birthday at home with a fire engine cake and red and blue balloon decorations
- Drop-off 5th birthday at a children's museum or play cafe
- Joint sibling birthday for two fire truck fans
- Co-ed kids birthday party where the invite goes to a mixed guest list of boys and girls
✦ good to know
Tiny questions.
Easy answers.
The little things parents ask right before hitting buy. Still stuck? We’re one Etsy message away.
Ask on Etsy ↗How fast will I get my fire truck birthday invite?
Within seconds of purchase. You receive a PDF with your Canva template link the moment payment clears, so you can start editing your firetruck invite right away. Most buyers finish editing in under ten minutes.
Can I edit the fire truck invite on my phone?
Yes. Basic phone editing is supported through the free Canva mobile app on iPhone and Android, so you can change names, update the age, and download your finished invite without ever opening a laptop. A computer is recommended for advanced edits.
Can I change the age and the year on this firetruck invite?
Absolutely. The "turning Four" text in the preview is fully editable. Use this template for a 1st birthday, 2nd birthday, 3rd birthday, 4th birthday, 5th birthday, or any age fire truck party. Just click the age text and type your child's number, or write it as a word (turning one, turning two, three, four, five).
Can I change the blue background color?
Yes. The light blue background is fully editable in Canva. Click the background and pick any color from the Canva color picker, or match it to your party palette (red and white, cream, navy, soft pink, gold, or anything else).
Will the invite work for a girl's fire truck birthday?
Yes. All text is editable, so you can update the name, pronouns, and party details for any kid who loves fire trucks, fire engines, firefighters, or Dalmatian dogs. The illustration colors stay the same, but the background can be changed to a softer palette if you prefer.
How do I print my fire truck birthday invite at home?
Download the PDF version from Canva (choose PDF with crop marks and bleed for the cleanest print), then print on cardstock paper between 80 and 110 lb weight. Most home printers handle this easily. For higher-quality results, upload the PDF to a local print shop or any online print service.
What size is the fire truck birthday invite?
5 by 7 inches, the standard party invite size that fits A7 envelopes, sold at any office supply store or online.
Can I send my fire truck birthday invite digitally instead of printing?
Yes. Download the JPEG version from Canva and text it directly, send by email, post in your group chat, or use it as a digital evite on Evite, Paperless Post, or Punchbowl.
How many times can I edit and download the firetruck invite?
Unlimited times for your own party, with no expiration date. The Canva template stays in your account, so you can re-edit if you change the date, fix a typo, or want a second version for a sibling's party next year.
Can the graphics be moved or removed?
The text is fully editable but the watercolor illustrations (the firetruck, Dalmatian, fire hydrant, and balloons) are fixed in place and cannot be moved or recolored. The document size and orientation are also fixed at 5 by 7 inches portrait.
